Seasonal Angel Magic: Autumn Abundance

We might not first consider Autumn to be one of the most generous seasons; after all Summer is filled with flowers and leafy beauty and Autumn brings the great falling away - leaves drop, sunshine hours retreat and temperatures fall too. But Autumn is the season of harvest for a reason. Those who work with nature in growing fruits, vegetables and herbs will know that Autumn is Abundance.
ANGEL MAGIC
There is magic in every season and there is an Angel for every season too. Depending on which texts - and spiritual belief system - you refer to, there is Guabarel, Tarquam, Ardarael, Michael, Raphael and Gabriel. In this practice, I am using 'Angel Of Autumnal Abundance'- if you have a specific Angel you work with, you can replace this phrase. If you don't, 'Angel Of Autumnal Abundance' is sufficient when recited in both loving tones and a loving energy from the heart. When working with any spiritual entity, we do not demand.
INTENTION JAR
I have created Intention Jars that have everything needed for connecting with the Angel Of Autumnal Abundance, with various stones, flowers, seeds and berries from the VOLVA medicine garden that offered themselves from the garden which I feel strongly align with, attract and emit the energy of the intention .
These jars have undergone the ritual blessing and prayer ceremony I've outlined below, and have received a saining blessing with the flower essences and herbs I've put as optional for your own jar creation below. All that is needed is for you to sit with the autumnal Abundance Intention Jar during the season. You can also speak aloud the recitation below when sitting with the jar.
These jars can also be repurposed once the contents are gifted as offerings to the Land or the Waters once their work is done; they can be reused for you to try your own Autumn jar next year, or for another purpose of magic or to store a small amount of herbs.

ABOUT THE RITUAL
This ritual is intended to be incredibly simple and easy. We need not use convoluted practices when simple ones will be just as effective. Spirituality is not aspirational; it is accessible to all no matter what level of wealth - in all things - you have. I feel this is so important. In modern times, we are led to believe that we need certain tools, crystals, outfits, etc - especially when presented with the social media ideas of spiritual or craft practice - but we have everything we need within ourselves. Yes, tools can be useful but they are allies to direct the energy that comes from us.
This autumn abundance magic ritual can be done at any time during the season, including on the Autumn Equinox, which falls between the 20th - 22nd September (this is known as Mabon in the Wiccan practice). I always encourage you to feel when these Days of Power are, and not go by a calendar date - Nature will show you Her shifting energy. If you are of the Christian or Catholic faith, Michaelmas is on the 29th September, the Feast of The Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael so if this speaks to you, then go with this. The sacred ritual I outline here is intended to help bring about the abundance by offering our loving energy as exchange. Whenever you feel called is the right time to do this ritual, then go for it.
The ideal time for this practice is as the Sun begins to set, at dusk.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Here are a few things you will need but they are easily accessible and you may already have them to hand. If not, they require little cost and effort to source. I have suggested two of VOLVA's Flower Essences and a Herbal Smudge Mix. These are entirely optional. They are gifts of abundance from the wealth of the Earth and so I find they are ideal to use in this ritual. Both essences are aligned with the Angelic Realm; ArchAngel is light language and can help in aiding communion with the Angels to carry your intentions. Earth Angel is to encourage wealth in physical form - this includes health and if this is what you seek (and even if you don't, health wealth is the most important kind!), then I would suggest adding this.
A candle (ideally white - a tealight is fine)
Small glass jar with lid (wide enough to fit an acorn, flower or berries)
An acorn, dried seasonal flower or dried seasonal berries
A dried leaf
5 apple seeds
Notebook/journal/diary and pen
Optional:
ArchAngel Flower Essence (optional)
Earth Angel Flower Essence (optional)
Angel Of The Heavenly Bridge Herbal Mix (optional)
WHAT TO WEAR
Clothing wise, wear whatever you like - it is lovely to align with the colours of the season and while it is not essential, it is a little bit of effort that the Angels appreciate. Adorn yourself with anything that is orange, brown, rust or similar that reflects the colours you see in Nature around you in Autumn.
THE PRACTICE
Place all items on a small table with the candle in the centre. Light the candle with the intention of connecting and communing with the Angel Of Autumnal Abundance. If it helps, you can use a visualisation of what you feel this Angel may look like but it is the feeling that is important. Extend love from your heart and from your voice.
(Ensure you are taking safety precautions with a naked flame ensuring it is not on surfaces that can be damaged by heat or near flammable materials, including the flower essences. Never leave a naked flame unattended, and keep it away from animals and children.)
Recite this prayer/invocation/intention after you light the candle.
Dearest Angel Of Autumnal Abundance, I ask of thee,
Please bring me wealth so that I may be free.
Allow me to reap the fruits of my labour
Sharing with others the delight in this fortune and favour.
Let the magic of Autumn be lasting and true,
And I am forever grateful to you.
Thank you.
Then take the dried leaf and recite:
May the power of Autumn allow me to prosper
and drop the leaf into the glass jar
Then hold the acorn, flower or berries and recite:
May the wisdom of Autumn allow me to share my wealth with others
and drop the acorn, flower or berries into the glass jar
Then drop the apple seeds, one by one, into the jar and recite:
May the magic of Autumn take root in my life and flourish the whole year through
Optional
If you are adding the flower essences, place one drop of ArchAngel into the jar and recite:
May the spirit of this flower safely carry my Prayer to you
Then place one drop of Earth Angel into the jar and recite
May this wealth from the Earth be my offering to you
If you are adding Angel Of The Heavenly Bridge Herbal Mix, place a sprinkle into the jar and recite
May these sacred herbs give blessing to beautiful bounty
Thank the Angel Of Autumnal Abundance and extinguish the candle, ideally by licking your thumb and forefinger and quickly pinching the flame out. Blowing it out is fine.
Place the lid on the jar and keep the jar in a place where you can see it every day throughout the season. I would recommend a windowsill where the light energy of Autumn can imbue it further with seasonal magic and power.
Write down any feeling, thoughts, visions or sensations you may have had during this ritual, and note down any happenings in a journal or diary over the next few weeks. Remember, abundance isn't just money - it is many things including health, joy, support and love.
GIVING THANKS
You can keep your jar until Yule, the Winter Solstice, which is around 21st December (again, go with what Nature is telling you with Her energy shifts), but abundance may come before this and so go with what you feel. If it feels that your prayer has been answered by Hallow's Eve/Samhain, remove it then.
And then - with deep thanks - use the contents as an offering. Either place the contents into compost so that the energy will bless and feed your garden, bury the contents somewhere with the intention that its energy will bless and feed the Earth or release the contents in to a moving water source like a river, stream or burn, with the intention that its energy will bless the Waters and feed wherever it lands.
Wash the jar out and store it away for safekeeping to use again next Autumn. You may want to label or mark the jar in some way that reminds you that is the jar for your Autumnal Angelic work.
