Smudging is a practice of cleansing people, places and items using smoke from herbs and resins.

Saining is the Scottish practice of blessing, cleansing and consecrating people, places, ritual tools and land. There are some commonalities but it does not matter which you prefer. What matters is the quality of the herbs and preparations that you use, that they too reflect the sacredness of your practices. 

VOLVA's Smudging and Saining Herbs - both Smudge Sticks and Loose Herbal Mixes - are organically sown and grown in my medicine garden in Scotland, hand harvested at the peak of the plant's potency.
