This essence is suitable for times when you have to make a large transition but are holding on to 'glory days', thinking perhaps a little too sentimentally of the past and holding on to it. This may also include a sense of losing physical beauty, sensual prowess, general influence and power and social status.
 
All of these things - specifically Beauty - does not fade, it evolves. Perhaps you are holding on to a party animal or social butterfly version of yourself that is no longer there. Perhaps you are worried this makes you boring or old. Not so. Learn from this stunning, vibrant flower. She shines for a day but she knows that the will time come when she has to hang up her party dress. It will be there for another time. It is only a dress after all and does not define the fullness of her body, her roots, her life, her energy, her soul and spirit. It is only one expression of her.
 
This essence is also useful if you are holding on to grievances or experiences and situations where you have given your all, and you may find yourself stuck in a victim mentality unable to release the person you had to become to survive the challenges. It can be hard to reliquish the mindsets we've had to create for certain situations but this is what the gifts of the Green World are for, to show us the ways of grace.
 
Letting Go is aligned with Ouroboros, the Serpent that eats its own tail. Ouroboros is considered a paradox;  it is a mandala symbolic of alchemy, of infinite cycles as well as the process of personal transformation, of become oneself. But it also eats its own tail. This does not seem like a paradox to me personally; we integrate all wisdom required for growth - we energetically 'consume' it - and leave the empty energetic husk or 'skin' for the Divine Goddess to transform it into spiritual compost to feed another cycle.

    I recommend focusing attention on your body and your mental, physical and emotional responses when you see the photograph or read the information on the essences, to guide you to the right essence(s) for you at this moment. 

    It is often useful to work with one essence at a time - in this way we begin to understand the uses and gifts of each essence - for around 28 days or until you feel the issue is resolving or a different essence is required for another layer of healing. Essences do however work very well together so if more than one essence speaks to you, go with your intuition.


    The Solar and Lunar variations of one single flower essence are excellent companions and work well together for balance. The potency of working with both Sun and Moon together can be increased by working with the Solar essence in the morning and the Lunar essence before bedtime. Do be guided by how you feel both in relation to working with the Sun and The Moon together, and in working with more than one essence and how they would align.
