This specifically combined Flower Essences For The Moon Phases set is for ritual, ceremonial and sacred craft work in the Waxing Moon phase, from Dark Moon to First Quarter to Full Moon, a beautiful offering to Grandmother Moon, Gealach, Máni, Luna, Mama Quilla, whatever you choose to name Her.
 
Anoint your tools, cloths, bells and robes. Or place in your altar cauldron and raise it to the skies. Or gift them to the Earth. Or all of these works of love. These flower spirits are ready to work with you in whatever loving rituals, ceremonies and craft you have in mind.
 
GIFTING
There is the option of gifting the Waxing Moon set, and to choose to gift to yourself or to a lovely like minded soul, with the option to add your own personalised message. Inside the gift box will be scattered dried organic flower petals, harvested from the VOLVA Medicine Garden and Apothecary, and the set is blessed during wrapping and sealing.

The order in which you use them can be as you wish - you can use all essences together but I recommend separately; this way you begin to understand their own individual power and spirit medicine. I encourage you to listen to your intution in this sense. They can be used morning, mid evening and bedtime, separately or combined. They can be gifted to The Moon, The Waters, The Earth and The Elementals, given as offerings - one or two drops is all that is needed. You may also wish to add them to the Water on your altar and anointing sacred tools during the Waxing Moon.

SACREDNESS
Working with sacredly crafted medicine, like these essences, means that you are working with botanical tools that have been created with respect, reverence, intentionality and discernment, and with the communion and partnership of Spirit, The Divine, The Gods and The Goddesses, The Green World, The Sun God and The Grandmother Moon, The Stones, The Seas, The Skies, The Good Folk, The Directions and The Elements. Sadly, not all plant products are made like this, and yet it is so incredibly important for your rituals, ceremonies and sacred craft work, and when working spiritually with the Earth. Quantity

  • I recommend working with the essence(s) every day during the Moon phase. The timeframe and actions of the essences will be unique to you and your rituals, sacred craft and ceremonies as they are also dependent on the intention you bring when working with them.

    One 10ml bottle is intended to provide enough for approximately 28 days supply if 4 - 6 drops of each are used in daily practice. 

    The order in which you use them can be as you wish - I encourage you to listen to your intution in this sense. If you feel that issues that one specific essence helps support comes to the fore, use this essence then. Otherwise, they can be used morning, mid evening and bedtime, separately or combined.

    DIRECTIONS

    Gently move the closed bottle in a figure of 8 on its side (like this ∞) - ideally in a North to South direction - for a total of 4 full figures of 8. If you don't know the directions where you are, do not worry! (but I would recommend getting to know them as they are useful points in spiritual and craft work.) 

    There is a video with audio description next to the photographs in the listing showing you how to do this. This is different from the traditional way of succussing the bottle against the heel of the hand, but the figure of 8 x 4 times is how these unique essences are ‘activated’. Please do not use this method for other brands of flower essences - please follow their own instructions. This way of activation is specific to VOLVA Essences.

    Flower essences are often used internally, as they are among the safest possible preparations to take internally, but I cannot state that you can use them in this way.  In order for my essences to be stated as suitable for internal use, there is a regulatory process to go through. A stamp of regulatory approval does not, however, mean a better quality essence. Currently, I refuse to go through the regulatory process - here are some reasons why.

    Commercial companies who have received regulatory approval to sell their essences for internal use often do not grow every flower they use and boiling the flowers instead of solarising them is a common commercial practice. They are generally made in vast numbers to fulfill commercial stock levels. Once production numbers become at this level, sacredness is compromised - sadly this is the nature of commercialism. This process also means they are sitting on shelves in shops or in cupboards of online retailers for months on end.

    Folk medicine belongs to the people. It is empowerment. Once folk medicine becomes subject to authority and regulatory control and approval, it no longer belongs to the people. I have detailed more on this here.

    With VOLVA, your essences are created from the Mother when you order it. The Mother has been stored respectfully in a dedicated apothecary that is used only for the purposes of VOLVA medicines and practices. It is a sacred place.  I personally consider VOLVA flower essences to be superior in energy and vibration because the plant, the flower, the Mother and your essence is treated with respect and reverence at every single stage - from sowing the seed to the bottle in your hand.

    It is required to be stated here that these essences are only for anointing sacred items to deepen your spiritual work - such as rattles, drums, robes, tools and other ceremonial, ritual and craft items - and not for skin application or internal use.

    Here I provide as much information as possible for you to make a fully informed decision for your own wellbeing. While I have prescribed my essences to the clients of my private practice for years - and they have used them internally with incredible and profound results - if you choose to use VOLVA essences in other ways other than what is stated here, please note this is at your own risk.
