I recommend working with the essence(s) every day. The timeframe and actions of the essences will be unique to the individual and are dependent on regularity of use and the intention you bring when working with the essences. Some catalyse in a short time, others may take a little longer.
I have included a 30ml bottle size for this purpose.
The 10ml bottles are intended to provide enough for approximately 28 days supply if 4 - 6 drops are used in daily practice. The 30ml bottle is enough for approximately 3 months if using 4 -6 drops each day - it is often of great benefit to work with essences for up to 3 months. Sometimes the longer we work with an essence, the more it reveals the layers of its insight.
DIRECTIONS
Gently move the closed bottle in a figure of 8 on its side (like this ∞) - ideally in a North to South direction - for a total of 4 full figures of 8. If you don't know the directions where you are, do not worry! (but I would recommend getting to know them as they are useful points in spiritual and craft work.)
There is a video with audio description next to the photographs in each listing showing you how to do this. This is different from the traditional way of succussing the bottle against the heel of the hand, but the figure of 8 x 4 times is how these unique essences are ‘activated’. Please do not use this method for other brands of flower essences - please follow their own instructions. This way of activation is specific to VOLVA Essences.
Flower essences are mainly used internally - as they are among the safest possible preparations to take internally - but unfortunately I cannot state that you can use them in this way. In order for my essences to be stated as suitable for internal use, there is a regulatory process to go through. A stamp of regulatory approval does not, however, mean a better quality essence. Currently, I refuse to go through the regulatory process - here's some reasons why.
Commercial companies who have received regulatory approval to sell their essences for internal use often do not grow every flower they use and boiling the flowers instead of solarising them is a common commercial practice. They are generally made in vast numbers to fulfill commercial stock levels. Once production numbers become at this level, sacredness is compromised - sadly this is the nature of commercialism. This process also means they are sitting on shelves in shops or in cupboards of online retailers for months on end.
Folk medicine belongs to the people. It is empowerment. Once folk medicine becomes subject to authority and regulatory control and approval, it no longer belongs to the people. I have detailed more on this here.
With VOLVA, your essences are created from the Mother when you order it. The Mother has been stored respectfully in a dedicated apothecary that is used only for the purposes of VOLVA medicines and practices. It is a sacred place. I personally consider VOLVA flower essences to be superior in energy and vibration because the plant, the flower, the Mother and your essence is treated with respect and reverence at every single stage - from sowing the seed to the bottle in your hand.
It is required to be stated here that these essences are only for anointing sacred items to deepen your spiritual work - such as rattles, drums, robes, tools and other ceremonial, ritual and craft items - and not for skin application or internal use.
